Recently, Nike and RTFKT unveiled their Cryptokicks smart footwear collection.

It is impossible to overstate the significance of the creative process in the NFT sector. In fact, without the creative fusion of art and technology made possible by the blockchain, Web3 would not exist. Therefore, conceptualization and presentation have a significant impact on the creative process for individuals and brands working at the junction of the physical and digital worlds.

Uncharted area needs to be conquered in order to bridge the gap between our tangible physical reality and the digital existence the metaverse presents to us. This is maybe the reason why well-known companies like Nike have chosen to enter the Web3 industry through well-established market leaders like RTFKT. Brands may hedge their bets on blockchain technology through a kind of surrogacy while funding the front-line workers.

However, no matter how swiftly things develop on Web3, nothing happens instantly. While the blockchain industry has entered a challenging phase as a result of unjustifiable events and market conditions, RTFKT demonstrated during their panel at nft now x Mana Common's The Gateway exactly why developing a quality project or product requires patience and is not a quick fix for success. Starting from this foundation, RTFKT Co-Founders Steven Vasilev and Chris Le gave the NFT community as a whole food for thought by giving an early preview of their upcoming Cryptokicks smart footwear line.

It's a really direct combination of digital and tactile.

Vasilev and Le joined famous Web3 creator and founder of Rug Radio Farokh Sarmad on stage for the Gateway panel "Merging Worlds: Fashion, Lore, and Empowering Creators" to have a casual discussion about what had been happening within RTFKT.

Given that the startup was acquired by Nike almost exactly one year earlier, the NFT community as a whole has maintained the metaverse fashion business in its sights as a champion of Web3.

Le and Vasilev did not let down. The pair not only appeared sporting early versions of the eagerly awaited "Cryptokicks" sneakers that RTFKT and Nike are presently working on, but they also provided some insight into what the near future might store for followers of the brand.

Vasilev told the audience, "It's basically RTFKT's smart watch in a sneaker." "They have accelerometers, auto-lacing, and lights in terms of functionality. They have every tactile and vibrational feature you could possibly imagine having in a shoe. They serve as a tool for us to merge worlds.

Vasilev stated that decades of Nike technology went into the development of the next footwear line, which he claims is the first genuine Web3 sneaker, along with an app that can manage the shoes and allow owners to alter features at the touch of a button. Despite the abundance of information he provided during the panel, he concluded by saying that the complete material will be made public on December 5.

RTFKT and the path to iconhood

Vasilev and Le made it plain that RTFKT will go well beyond the current boundaries of digital wearables, even beyond the next Cryptokicks initiative. Le stated that prior RTFKT initiatives will continue to have an impact on future lore and storytelling while discussing the connection of RTFKT IP.

"This is RTFKT's storytelling phase. Although it may be overstated, I really believe that we will eventually destroy the Marvel Cinematic Universe, remarked Le. We're digging deep, and our storytellers are superb. Because we're attempting to establish the tone and environment for our community to participate and enhance the story, we're making sure all plot holes are closed.

RTFKT has been a go-to resource for metaverse clothing for many years. Early in its development, the fledgling business won over the NFT community by collaborating on ground-breaking digital wearable projects with renowned young artist FEWOCiOUS and, of course, CLONE X creative partner Takashi Murakami. As a business created by and for the non-fungible community, RTFKT has established a distinctive position in the NFT market and aspires to continue profiting from this affinity.

Vasilev continued, "I believe we're the first company to combine cryptocurrency, sneakers, and fashion in a way that hasn't been done before. "What we're attempting to do is create a platform on which new designers and collaborators can enter. Together, we wish to develop our community.
